About The Position

We are a metal stamping facility looking for Maintenance Technicians for our 3rd shift operations. The position involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various electrical equipment, hydraulic and mechanical devices, and plumbing systems while adhering to OSHA requirements. The role requires interpreting blueprints and specifications, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing routine maintenance tasks. The job may also involve operating machine tools and performing lift truck mechanic duties.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Journeyman or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Additional training as an electrical apprentice or J.V.S.
  • Blueprint reading ability for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as tape measure, micrometers, calipers, volt meter, and amp probe.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical ability to use tools of the trade.
  • Welding capability - stick/tig.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven team player and self-starter.
  • Strong work record in safety, quality, and dependability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with oscilloscopes.
  • Excitement to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot and/or repair electrical equipment, hydraulic and mechanical devices.
  • Interpret blueprints or other written specifications for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic applications.
  • Install and/or repair plumbing systems.
  • Use safe practices in repairing and checking equipment using safety tagout-lockout procedure.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Communicate developments and needs to coworkers and supervisors.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment per maintenance schedule.
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate, modify, and/or repair machinery.
  • Ensure environmental compliance after instructions from supervisor/environmental group.
  • Perform routine housekeeping in work areas.
  • Document preventative maintenance and expenditure programs.
  • Clean, lubricate and service motorized equipment per established schedule.
  • May require off-site work assignments at various facilities.
