About The Position

Take your technical skills to new heights with Collins Aerospace as a Test Technician in Houston, TX! In this hands-on role, you’ll play a crucial part in assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced test equipment that supports critical aerospace systems. Whether you’re diagnosing complex electro-mechanical issues, repairing test stations, or ensuring equipment operates at peak performance, your expertise will directly impact life support technologies in Space. Collins Aerospace Civil Space Systems is searching for energetic and highly motivated candidate for its Onsite Johnson Space Center Lab Operations Organization. The selected candidate will be a member of the Operations team, completing tasks ranging from test stand maintenance, sampling, flow bench sampling, daily lab maintenance and support of critical life support systems and ISS flight hardware. Experience with test equipment, nitrogen and water purity requirements and chamber test operations is preferred. Safe handling and transportation of critical flight hardware will be part of the daily responsibilities of this position. Candidates must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of the SSSL Team. It is essential the successful candidate be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment. This is an Onsite position that is in Houston TX.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification may be required for technical support roles
  • Prior experience in clean room lab operations and Space Flight hardware processing requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with test equipment, nitrogen and water purity requirements, and chamber test operations is preferred
  • Previous experience in aerospace industry is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or technology
  • Prior Military experience is a plus
