About this role: Fuse Integration is seeking a Material and Inventory Handler to join our team in San Diego! You will be responsible for performing a combination of duties involved in receiving, storing, shipping, and issuing equipment, materials, and supplies in our Production Laboratory, System Integration Laboratory and Warehouse. The successful candidate will be able to track, log, verify, and compile various reports for received material, and examine stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices. Requirements

  • High school diploma and two or more years of experience in a shipping/receiving and inventory control environment. Additional education may be substituted in lieu of work experience
  • Familiar with using office and specialized inventory/stock control software to track and record inventory levels and prepare requested reports and information and must be able to work extended hours as required
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify deviations from normal processes and procedures, analyze issues and interpret data; organization skills to maintain flow of work within the unit; the ability to respond to routine issues or situations; good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interface with internal employees and to accurately document and report information; and knowledge of computer operations, applications, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving and material movement function including:
  • Receives purchased and completed manufactured items, verifies identification codes and quantities
  • Inspect incoming goods for compliance with Purchase Orders
  • Make entries on inspection paperwork and in business system software
  • Communicate results of inspections and assist in facilitation of corrective actions
  • Prepares and attaches a variety of property identification markers
  • Records incoming and outgoing inventory and/or material in the appropriate computer system(s) or hard copy record(s)
  • Maintains control and inventory of production components and government property
  • Restocks inventory to assure it is at the appropriate level.
  • Documents and restocks returned inventory.
  • Identify, report, and investigate inventory shortages, overages, or discrepancies
  • Fulfills standard and immediate inventory requests and kits manufacturing rquests
  • Packages, labels, and documents items for shipping
  • Inputs data to maintain configuration management compliance with various computer software systems
  • Assist in compliance with ISO 9001 and participate in continuous improvement activities
