We're seeking a detail-oriented Material Control Clerk to join our Operations team. In this essential role, you'll ensure accurate material flow, inventory integrity, and compliance in a regulated (ISO/cGMP) environment-helping keep our production on schedule and our products safe for patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in a regulated ISO, cGMP, or GLP environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with electronic logs, spreadsheets, and basic computer systems (ERP/MRP experience a plus).
  • Ability to lift/move materials (up to 30–50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable collaborating across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Operations and your Supervisor to prepare and issue work orders based on the build schedule, including kitting materials from controlled inventory per Lot History Records (LHRs) and Engineering Work Requests (EWRs).
  • Prepare and distribute production materials according to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Handle shipping and receiving: prepare boxes/labels, verify/create packing lists, maintain electronic logs, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Verify incoming shipments from third-party processors (review packing lists, certificates, data sheets, POs) before acceptance and transfer.
  • Maintain precise inventory records for finished goods and direct materials; ensure daily security and accountability of controlled inventory.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts and accurately document returned/unused materials (verify quantity, packaging, labeling, and quality).
  • Organize and maintain engineering inventory; monitor controlled and Kanban levels (onsite/offsite) and partner with Purchasing/Supervisor on replenishment.
  • Prepare and ship finished goods to customers, distribution centers, clinical sites, and other destinations.
  • Manage expired/obsolete materials per Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP).
  • Review/enter Lot History Record data into spreadsheets and provide material planning/administrative support to Operations and Quality Control.
  • Assist with general operations tasks: copying, filing, data entry, labeling, packaging, memos, and other duties as assigned.
