About The Position

The Material Handler Coordinator helps keep materials moving smoothly and accurately through all production areas. This role focuses on safety, efficiency, and getting materials where they need to be on time. The coordinator supports daily operations, manages inventory, oversees equipment use, and helps with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed. Overall, this position ensures materials are organized, properly handled, and delivered to the right place at the right time to keep production running successfully.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. from accredited institution is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct manufacturing experience or equivalent

  • Forklift and Powered Industrial Vehicle certification or must be eligible to acquire
  • Crane certification or must be eligible to acquire
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habits
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Material Handling/Supply Chain experience
  • Working knowledge of LVA operations
  • Associates degree in a related field
  • Previous Enovia Experience

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve any rack audit discrepancies
  • Process purchased and self-manufactured RTS changes thru AS400
  • Apply location, qty, item number changes in AS400
  • Assist material handler with any overflow work for the product line
  • Additional systems access and training required
  • Effectively use windows-based programs as well as AS400 and VISTA
  • Work with production on rack location changes and needs that increase productivity
  • Work with production on any NCMR parts that need removed
  • Work with the team leads on material quadrant realignment
  • Work with LDP’s on special assignments or training processes
  • Ability to support the Material Handling Team when needed
  • Safely operate PIV equipment and adhere to added safety precautions
  • Complete Daily Pre-Use Inspection of PIV equipment for damage or wear that would deem it unsafe to operate. Reporting any findings to supervisor or Maint. immediately
  • Maintain quality visual controls on racks. Labels, paint, Kanban card holders.
  • Perform rack audits for accuracy and 5S
