About The Position

The Material Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, tracking, and organization of materials within the production facility. The Material Coordinator ensures that the right materials are available at the right time to support production, fulfillment, and shipping operations. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, Order Fulfillment: Accurately select and transfer materials, parts, and products from warehouse locations based on staging lists, work orders, or digital scanner instructions. Verify item quantities, part numbers, and quality before staging or delivering to the next process step. Utilize handheld scanners or Warehouse Management System (WMS) to record material movements and maintain inventory accuracy. Material Staging: Organize and prepare materials for specific departments (e.g., assembly). Deliver staged materials to designated areas on time, ensuring a continuous flow of production. Kit components and materials as required by specific work orders. Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counting and physical inventory counts to ensure data integrity. Report inventory discrepancies, damage, or quality issues immediately to a supervisor. Maintain the neatness, organization, and labeling of stock locations. Perform general housekeeping duties in the warehouse and staging areas. Work collaboratively with production, shipping, and quality control teams to maintain proper workflow and quality assurance. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1 or more years of experience in inventory tracking, packing, or staging roles.
  • Basic math skills, keen attention to detail, and good organizational abilities.
  • General PC skills (e.g. Microsoft, ERP)
  • Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic familiarity with Inventory/Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Walking, standing, bending, reaching (Frequently)
  • Lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds (Frequently)
  • Temperatures (Occasionally)

  • Forklift certification (Preferred)
