2nd Shift Material Handler /Forklift Driver

About The Position

The primary function of a Material Handler is to safely and accurately transfer incoming materials and existing product from different areas of the facility.

Requirements

Forklift and PIT experience required.
High School or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times.
Comply with all GMP requirements.
Knowledge of the Material Handling department.
Trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and must maintain valid certification.
Safely and correctly load and unload trailers.
Must be able to fill out all paperwork (trailer inspection sheets, etc.).
Monitor the equipment and the material handling procedures for safety and report any issues to the supervisor.
Basic knowledge of packaging and how it is used in the facility.
Ability to transfer items accurately from different areas of the facility.
Comprehensive knowledge of radio frequency terminals and be able to transfer product accordingly. This also includes receiving items with respect to the P.O. number and turnaround number.
Must be able to operate both stretch wrappers at the facility (automatic and manual).
Comprehensive knowledge of transfer sheets, manifests, bill of ladings, tally sheets, skid tags and return authorizations.
Must have comprehensive working knowledge of Data Collection Terminals, both at the wrapper and within the warehouse.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Ability to read and record written instructions.
Ability to work independently.
Notify Supervision of any issues.
Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices.
