You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job will involve you driving around the plant floor and into storage areas to acquire material. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Requirements

  • Depth perception required.
  • Climbing on and off the lift.
  • Continuous exposure to jarring and driving over uneven pavement.
  • Constantly getting on/off lift truck to manually lift/slide/flip door skins (max. 50 lbs.), bending, lifting, and twisting.
  • Picking up materials and disposing as necessary.
  • Proven experience as forklift operator
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid certification to operate forklift preferred.
  • Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role.
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Forklift operating skills to lift/pull/push materials onto forks from elevated heights - navigates throughout plant, including populated and small areas.
  • Performs safety procedures (including wearing and securing harness)
  • Read/interpret schedules/tickets
  • Use measuring tape - to 16th.
  • Must have the ability to work/maneuver at elevated heights up to 20 ft.
  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility.
