About The Position

We are posting an internal opportunity for a Material Handler I in our Sussex, WI facility. This role is ideal for team members who are dependable, safety‑focused, and able to stay on task, with proven forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. The Material Handler I plays a key role in supporting production flow by ensuring materials are moved accurately, safely, and efficiently throughout the department.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience required (manufacturing or warehouse setting preferred)
  • Strong dependability, attendance, and follow‑through
  • Ability to remain focused and stay on task in a structured environment
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Working knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
  • Self‑motivated team player with the ability to multitask when needed
  • Willingness to flex work hours occasionally to meet business needs
  • Commitment to safety, security, and housekeeping standards
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 6 months of related experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or technically oriented role
  • Forklift certification a plus (or ability to obtain if not currently certified)
  • Employees must maintain fewer than 3 attendance points to remain in good standing.
  • Misconduct may impact eligibility for promotions or advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Transport materials into, out of, and throughout assigned departments
  • Safely operate a forklift and other powered equipment to move materials
  • Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, or shelving
  • Properly use barcode scanners and follow inventory movement procedures
  • Identify and report barcode or shelf label issues to leadership
  • Assist with identifying and resolving inventory errors
  • Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as required
  • Report discrepancies accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned (reasonable accommodations provided)
