Summary Pick and Pack domestic and international orders based on customer requirements.Receiving of raw materials based on purchase order requirements.If the Logistics Clerk is absent, the warehouse group leader is responsible for the food safety and quality aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Trained and certified in 49CFR, IATA and IMDG shipping modals and/or hazmat general awareness.
  • Ability to use both manual and mechanized equipment.
  • Trained and certified in forklift operation.
  • Basic computer skills, inventory analysis, Microsoft excel.
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
  • Knowledge of DG and batch metrics inventory system.
  • Ability to wear PPE, including but not limited to respirators.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes and pails weighing up to 60 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in a shipping and receiving environment and knowledge of hazmat shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Checks for inventory according to customer requests, using the data general computer system.
  • Drive the forklift to move products from racks into the shipping area, print and apply labels to individual containers.
  • Restack pallets as necessary when less than a full pallet is to be shipped and shrink-wrap pallets.
  • Ensure that the product is packed and prepared in accord with the mode of transport being used. Must follow 49CFR, IATA/ICAO, IMDG/IMO regulations.
  • Create paperwork, Bill of ladings, certificate of analysis, packing list and SDS
  • Timely loading and unloading of outbound and inbound trucks.
  • Interacts with Customer service, production and QC Labs in order to obtain order status and changes.
  • Receiving of products based on purchase orders.
  • Unload trucks, create paperwork, attach labels to containers.
  • Sample products and submit samples to QC, log the details in the data general and batch metrics systems.
  • Move and locate pallets thru the warehouse and temperature control storage. (freezer, refrigerator.)
  • Unload tankers of Propylene Glycol, Ethyl Alcohol and Juices...
  • Inspect all vehicles to ensure that the required safety and sanitation criteria are met, and that all vehicles are suitable for handling food products and food ingredients following SQF 11.6.7.1 and 11.6.9.1. guidelines. input the truck inspections into the computer system.
