About The Position

The Material Handler position is responsible for moving and distributing materials. Some responsibilities of a material handler include unpacking materials, counting, labeling, storing, weighing, and measuring items in incoming shipments.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions
Some knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to understand two-bin systems
Ability to interact courteously and professionally with the public and employees
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to prioritize work
Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
Familiar with various tools: drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
Ability to recognize the quality expected and be able to reproduce it
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment

Responsibilities

Responsible for making the rounds and supplying parts to all production workers who need them
Provide tools and materials to the production line
Responsible for counter tasks and responsibilities
Provide any additional help needed to maintain Standard Work and keep the production flow moving
Responsible for conducting training for current and new personnel as instructed.
Meet standards of safety and 6S
Promote the use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
Be compliant with REV’s Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, and customers
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
