About The Position

The Material Handler - Loader is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stage, load and organize trailers and materials throughout the yard and facility.

Requirements

High School
Forklift Certification
1 year Related Experience

Responsibilities

Complete daily forklift inspection checklists and submit them weekly.
Refuel forklifts as needed to maintain operational readiness.
Communicate and coordinates with the logistics and/or Production Supervisor regarding incoming and outgoing loads.
Reviews loading lists by priority and sequence.
Loads and stages trailers by priority, using blocking and stands, and secures loads as required.
Move trailers within the yard to maintain organization and efficient traffic flow.
Unload steel trucks and incoming freight in a safe and timely manner.
Moves snow in the yard with Bobcat/tractor as needed.
Maintains forklifts by keeping them clean and washed.
Transport materials of varying lengths throughout the facility.
Maintain organized storage areas for raw materials.
Supply materials to saws as needed.
Verify shipment received from steel vendors (Material and Count Accuracy)
Keep the yard clean and free of debris and garbage.
Follow all quality standards and procedures.
Follow all company safety policies and practices at all times.
Improves self in any way possible to enhance job performance.
Promotes Felling Trailers, Inc., its mission, values, programs and achievements to the public and other employees.
Identifies organizational problems and opportunities for improvement and brings solutions and suggestions to management's attention.
Functions as a team member by assisting, supporting and encouraging other employees in any way possible.
