We will give you a great place to work, a competitive salary and benefits, and the resources and support to develop and advance within our global company. Machine Operator/Material Handlers will operate and monitor packaging equipment in a production environment.  The job requires use of a powered industrial truck, handling/lifting of materials up to 50lbs multiple times per shift, bending down, reaching for and placing of components.  Additionally, employees are required to follow all safety rules, quality procedures and meet production numbers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years in manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing setting
  • Experience working on a team to complete a common goal
  • Experience operating machinery on a line
  • Forklift experience
  • Handling/lifting of materials up to 50lbs multiple times per shift, bending down, the use of stairs, elevated platforms, ability to get on and off a powered industrial truck, and reaching for & placing of packaging components.

Nice To Haves

  • RF Scanner experience is preferred
  • SAP knowledge is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate with a safety-first mindset
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure all quality standards are met (checking first piece on inbound packaging components, some in process testing of materials, and communication with lab team)
  • Operate equipment up to efficiency standards (depalletizes, case conveyers, case packers, fillers, carton erecters, palletizers, wrappers, etc.)
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on packaging equipment and or PITs
  • Maintain 5S standards (continuous cleaning of area while plant is operating)
  • Operate powered industrial trucks
  • Maintain cross training on multiple pieces of equipment
  • Remaining up to date with safety, LMS, and ISO trainings
  • Manual operations may include putting corrugated board on packaging lines, handling bottles or cases, pouch/bags and cleaning of equipment
  • Employees will be trained and must utilize machine safety standards that will include control of hazardous energy, LOTO, and fortress keys
  • Employees will be required to be engaged in additional safety programs which include but are not limited to PPE, ergonomics, PIT, and safety/environmental programs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
