About The Position

Position Overview: The Material Handler Manager is responsible for leading the receiving and material handling operations to ensure accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and uninterrupted support of production and hub operations. This role oversees daily warehouse operations, supervises material handling personnel, drives safety compliance, and partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Finance, and Quality teams to maintain operational excellence. Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Manage and develop the material handling team to execute daily receiving, staging, stocking, and transfer activities. Ensure all inbound materials are received accurately, inspected appropriately, and entered into the system in a timely manner. Maintain accurate inventory control through cycle counts, system discipline, and warehouse organization. Lead execution of monthly physical inventories, ensuring accurate counts and disciplined counting processes. Partner with Supply Specialists to review variances, investigate discrepancies, and support timely reconciliation and system adjustments. Coordinate dock scheduling and prioritize material flow to prevent production disruption. Monitor and improve warehouse organization, storage layout, and floor space utilization. Partner with Supply Chain and Production teams to align material availability with production schedules. Lead daily start-up meetings to review workload, staffing, safety topics, and operational priorities. Identify bottlenecks in receiving or material staging and implement corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, dock efficiency, and material handling processes. Ensure compliance with all safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies. Maintain material handling equipment and coordinate repairs as needed. Monitor staffing levels and communicate labor needs, scheduling adjustments, and overtime requirements. Support new hub launches or operational expansions with material staging and logistics coordination. Promote accountability, teamwork, and high standards of performance within the material handling team. Travel: None Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft® Word, Excel and Outlook software applications. Ability to analyze inventory data and operational metrics to drive improvements. Will be expected to develop proficiency in Avanti software (i.e. FeneVision, etc.) and be/become familiar with Apple iOS. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required. Ability to effectively communicate with warehouse personnel, Supply Specialists, production leadership, and executive team members. Must demonstrate professional communication, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to provide clear direction. Professional Skills: Must be a team player with a strong desire to lead, develop, and grow others. Must be pro-active, self-disciplined, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completion. Attention to detail is required. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, type or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Time commitment required of this position will vary based on business needs. Work Environment: The work environment with this job primarily includes warehouse and manufacturing floor settings. The noise level of this job is typically moderate to loud and temperature may fluctuate based on seasonal conditions. This role includes both hands-on warehouse oversight and regular office-based administrative responsibilities.
