About The Position

This role is responsible for receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling, and performing cycle counts for materials within our primary Distribution Center. Leveraging strong computer skills, the position ensures accurate receipt, verification, and documentation of incoming materials, as well as the timely shipment of items supporting service centers across the territory. Using established material‑handling practices, this role also ensures the safe, organized, and efficient placement of materials throughout the warehouse and yard areas of the Distribution Center.

Requirements

  • Storekeeper: Must have worked for at least three (3) years, and qualified as Storeroom Assistant, or have had equivalent experience in related work.
  • Must be willing and able to qualify for automobile and truck operator's license.
  • Know storekeeping procedure and be familiar with all records maintained in the storeroom.
  • Know materials and be willing and able to identify same by type, size, serial number, etc.
  • Must know and practice company's applicable safety rules.
  • Know location of firefighting equipment and be familiar with operation and use of the various types.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Be energetic and alert.
  • Be willing and able to work under unusual surroundings, as well as the normal working conditions pertaining to this job.
  • Be willing and able to receive and execute orders and instructions in such a manner as to inspire respect of associates.
  • Be neat, clean and orderly in work and person.
  • Be willing and able to attend and take part in safety meetings.
  • Have temperament suited to work of a routine and confining nature and be willing and able to work in harmony with other employees.

  • Understand the importance of treating as confidential certain items handled and have ability to recognize such items.
  • This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
