About The Position

Under general supervision, the Material Handler receives product into the parts area and packages and ships domestic spare parts orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Basic computer skills for shipping instructions and order processing.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull parts orders according to production schedules and deliver to the assembly area.
• Construct crates and packaging based on the type and nature of parts being shipped.
• Review daily shipping requirements and schedules to ensure compliance.
• Measure shipments to determine appropriate truck or van size.
• Maintain adequate supplies of packing materials and shipping supplies.
• Conduct visual inspections of bills of lading and shipment contents for accuracy.
• Coordinate daily product pickups with other parts employees.
• Load and unload trucks and containers; process related paperwork in the system.
• Distribute incoming goods to appropriate departments.
• Handle weldments for inspection and rejection returns.
• Stock parts and create warehouse locations for new inventory.
• Notify production leads of incoming parts and fulfill backorders.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
