Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 4 years of forklift operations experience and training
  • Experience using a computerized Warehouse Management System
  • Must have good command of the English language and the ability to read and understand written instructions
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written or orally in English
  • Ability to use basic tools, various material handler equipment and hand-held scanners
  • Must exhibit promptness and attention to detail
  • This position requires frequent lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing and bending.
  • Employee must be able to deal with multiple assignments and work well under pressure.
  • Protective clothing is required for this position which includes steel toed shoes, gloves and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

  • Expedite the unloading of material from trailers, verifying item numbers and checking for discrepancies
  • Receives PO’s using a handheld computerized Warehouse Management System
  • Reads Production Work Tickets to determine items to be picked and staged in the Work Order staging area
  • Participate in daily cycle counting program
  • Pick and stage orders by interpreting customer-specific work instructions
  • Adhering to the company’s safety standards and enforcing safety regulations
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area and warehouse
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all system transactions
  • Verify that the quality of outbound loads meets customer expectations
  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the company’s ISO standards
