Material Handler - 1st Shift
About The Position
ITU AbsorbTech is hiring a full-time Material Handler at our Elk Grove Village location. In this role, you will: Load and unload products to and from box trucks Stage products in the dock area Operate forklifts, power pallet jacks, and drum carts to load and unload relay trailers Maintain clean and organized dock area Proper handling and safety of equipment Schedule: 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Start and end times may vary. No weekends, no holidays! Pay: $19-$22 an hour, depending on experience. About ITU AbsorbTech ITU AbsorbTech was founded in 1908 as an industrial laundry company. Now, based in New Berlin, WI, it's one of the oldest family-owned industrial laundries in the country. We have 16 facilities across the eastern US, servicing thousands of manufacturers by providing reusable uniforms, mops, towels, and mats. Since the mid-1990s, we've been the top choice in environmental services by offering launderable absorbents, replacing disposable products. Each year, we recover over 200,000 gallons of oil and solvents from our customers' used products. Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, lifting up to 50lbs and standing/walking for full 8-hour shift.
- A good attitude, team player, attention to detail, and a focus on safety.
- Must have strong communication, problem solving skills, well organized, and detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years of prior loading dock and/or shipping and receiving experience preferred.
