Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in material handling, loading, or receiving
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with hand woodworking tools and power tools (table saw, chop saw, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and strong time management abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal record check
  • Ability to safely lift 35–50 lbs
  • Comfortable working with hand tools requiring fine motor skills for extended periods
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Comfortable working in environments with exposure to water on hands and feet

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift certification (asset)
  • Overhead crane experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move heavy slabs and materials throughout the warehouse
  • Secure loads on A-Frames using strapping, banding, cleating, and other required methods
  • Move materials for production and customer orders using forklifts and air lifters
  • Safely transfer, store, package, and prepare finished and unfinished products for shipment
  • Perform heavy lifting (35–50 lbs) using mechanical lifting devices
  • Track and verify inventory; double-check loads for accuracy and damage
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and a clean, organized work area
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures related to forklifts, cranes, and lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret units of measurement accurately
  • Work Monday–Thursday (full-time schedule)
