About The Position
Material Handler – Production/Warehouse Environment – Two 1st Shift Openings Nyco Products is on the hunt for Material Handlers for both of our locations! Candidate must have both Stand-Up and Reach Truck experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for reviewing production work orders and pulling and stage materials that are required to produce the work orders for multiple production lines/areas. Finished Goods Movement: Verifying product to the production work order assuring the following information is accurate; inventory bar code, carton, carton stencil, carton label, and carton stack pattern, then moved to shrink wrap and/or store in designated warehouse locations, scanning product receipt into finished goods. Performing receipt of raw materials and movement of materials into storage locations. Reviewing packing list and comparing data to the purchase order for receipt. If disparities exist, this position is required notify the purchasing department to obtain disposition of materials in question. Production reporting: Scanning production receipts into the company information system assuring accurate counts of the work order. If the work order quantity does not match, the next step is to notify production management for disposition. Maintaining raw material inventory in a consistent manner to assure inventory accessibility and accuracy. Interacting with the purchasing department to ensure that shortages are mitigated. Performing inventory counts as requested by the purchasing and production management to assist in maintaining an accurate inventory. Performing order picking of product to prepare for order shipment. Performing work assigned in accordance with company production standards and rates. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area as established by plant policy. It is critical that this position adheres to all company safety and health policies. Experience with operating industrial forklift and ancillary equipment in the securing and moving of materials for storage or use is required. Utilizing company equipment with proper use and care and notifying maintenance of any equipment needs to assure safe operation is a key component of this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training on stand up forklift
- Stand-up forklift experience
- Reach truck experience
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing
