About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, receiving, storage, and handling of materials throughout the facility. This role supports production, shipping, and receiving operations by ensuring that materials, components, and products are accurately transported to the correct locations and documented properly in inventory systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse or manufacturing enviornment
• Individuals must have good written and oral communication skills
• Individuals must possess basic mathematical skills
• Individuals must possess problem-solving skills to successfully perform duties of a Quality Technician. Strong attention to detail is also required
• Knowledge of shipping systems, fright carriers, and inventory software a plus Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading and shipping documentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with ERP/WMS software a plus

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other material handling equipment
• Load and unload trucks and shipments safely and efficiently
• Deliver materials to designated production areas based on job travelers or pick lists
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas
• Receive incoming materials and verify against packing slips and purchase orders
• Label and store materials appropriately after receipt
• Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Accurately record material movements in ERP or inventory systems
• Maintain records of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions
• Assist with inventory accuracy and traceability initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
