The Material Handling Equipment Simulator Operator/88H Technical Instructor will provide support to the US Army Transportation School, Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) MITD-Simulator Operator/Technical Instructor Support Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant knowledge acquired through experience/training that is equivalent to education/training.
• USCG license and Maritime/Cargo Handling technology degree program.
• Ability to be vetted as meeting the qualifications as a vessel watch officer through the National Maritime Center (NMC).
• Prior experience using MHE equipment and can demonstrate all aspects of the equipment functionally.
• Physically able to launch and recover FRBs from a trailer, operate an FRB in calm and adverse weather conditions, stand for periods of 3 to 4 hours continuously, and lift 50 pounds without injury.
• Completed the Initial Military Training (IMT) and Professional Military Education (PME) courses required for the specific MOS.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support 88H AIT, PME and functional training when required.
• Manage MHE simulators during the work week, ensuring they are scheduled for multiple courses and blocks of instruction.
• Provide operator and maintainer instruction on various MHE, cranes, and forklifts.
• Demonstrate functional aspects of all equipment used in training.
• Perform other duties as needed.
