About The Position

Allegion is seeking a Material Specialist (Strider) to fulfill a full-time position in Everett, WA at our AD Systems facility. This role is part of the Fabrication department and is responsible for verifying the correct materials and build documentation are supplied to the machining team to keep production flowing efficiently and on-time. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (4x10s)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Manufacturing or similar experience required.
  • Demonstrated computer experience in Microsoft Office applications and Material Resource Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning type systems.
  • Ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools and equipment, including: Applicators, sandblasting and pressure washing equipment.
  • Ability to set rigging and operate lifts and small cranes as needed to perform work.
  • Provide high quality internal customer service.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlines
  • Consistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-started dedicated to continuous process improvement
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignments
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience, forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Using a cart on wheels, gather materials needed for the fabrication process according to the production build packet provided by production support; acquiring specific pieces from welding and other materials from the warehouse and then moved to the work cell.
  • Responsible for general area clean-up and any other duties, as assigned, to keep the technicians at their workstations; replenishing general supplies on the carts.
  • Assist or relieve any production position on a temporary basis when necessary.
  • Communicate with other departments to obtain supplies and materials.
  • Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for fabrication/assembly activities.
  • Understand and comply with all appropriate safety and work safety regulations.
  • Continuously maintain a clean work area including the cleanup and disposal of trash, production scrap, and material drop-off.
  • Assists in cleaning common areas.
  • Support inventory, picking, cycle counts, and other material distribution in the facility as needed.
