About The Position

The Materials Specialist – 2 nd shift will have the responsibility of conducting the daily 2 nd shift warehouse general activities, including receipt, handling, and shipment of materials, components, supplies and other commodities, performance of cycle counts, maintenance of the warehouse in an orderly, tidy and inspection-ready state, adherence to all safety procedures and regulations, and collaborating with other departments as applicable. This position will also initiate, investigate, and close deviations, CAPAs, Change Actions, etc., as applicable. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of achieving results in a warehouse environment and maintaining a positive culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Good writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Obtaining Powered industrial truck (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) certification through Civica Rx upon employment will be required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within established guidelines, procedures and practices.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills, committed to meeting high-quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
  • An associate’s degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in using ERP systems with an emphasis on inventory
  • Knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and meeting schedule requirements.
  • Experience in a process improvement environment, including change management and optimizing process flow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all 2nd shift warehouse activities, including aligning and scheduling material requirements to meet site manufacturing requirements.
  • Supply required raw materials, components, supplies, and other commodities to all site departments in an accurate and timely manner to ensure schedules are maintained.
  • Adherence to Civica procedures and policies and conform to current good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices.
  • Ensure all staff members adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Attend shift meetings to ensure communication and issues are clear to all staff members.
  • Initiate, investigate, and close deviations, CAPAs, Change Actions, etc., as applicable.
  • Participate in regulatory and QA audits and inspections.
  • Perform SOP generation and revisions.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and adjust priorities in response to changes in schedule due to unforeseen disruptions to minimize impact to all supported departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse manager.
