We have an immediate need for a Material Verification and Control Technician to join our Mission Assurance Team. In this role, you will inspect purchased components to ensure that they conform to all drawing specifications, purchase order requirements and customer specific requirements. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or Post-secondary diploma/degree in a mechanical or electrical technology program, or other post high school training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be skilled in reading and interpret blueprints, mechanical, assembly and optical drawings
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electronic and optical measuring test equipment
  • Knowledge of LN, Product Center, Excel and Word.
  • Understanding and knowledge of EXIM and JCA requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A designation in ASQ (American Society for Quality) Certified
  • IPC specialist (IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming purchased parts to verify they meet engineering drawings, purchase order requirements, and customer specifications
  • Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and basic GD&T to measure and evaluate parts
  • Review material certifications, test reports, and other receiving documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams using clear and professional communication
  • Follow established inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards such as AS9100
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming material and assist with corrective actions as needed
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and remain motivated when faced with schedule changes or delays
  • Build inspection skills and technical knowledge through training, instruction, and hands-on experience
