About The Position

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Materials Associate in our NICU unit. This vital role supports patient care by ensuring the accurate offloading, sorting, documenting, and delivery of inbound and outbound medical supplies. Responsibilities include replenishing inventory, resolving supply issues such as shortages or substitutions, and maintaining clean, organized supply areas. Success in this role requires excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting patient-centered care in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Offload, sort, document and deliver incoming/outgoing supplies for inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Complete the replenishment of par throughout the unit by unpacking orders, gathering/filling empty bins.
  • Follow up on order issues, shortages and obtaining substitute products when required.
  • Addresses incoming/outgoing communications to internal team members.
  • Assist in supply chain projects and initiatives including organizing of CSR, labelling supplies, and participating in physical inventory.
  • Achieve quality and safety expectations including auditing inventory throughout the unit for regulatory compliance such as cleanliness, organization, expired supplies, ceiling heights and supplies put away in the correct locations.
  • Track factor filter change requirements on incubators.
  • Manage and track biomed tickets on equipment.
  • Survey and place tickets for unit maintenance needs such as paint, ceiling tiles and broken equipment.
  • Clean/disinfect equipment not limited to pumps, phototherapy lights, stethoscopes, and incubators.
  • Preforms work with a high level of customer service, keeping patient-focused care at the center of decision making.
  • Operates/answers department and personal Voalte phone line.
  • Surveys, prepares and transports SPD equipment to and from department.
  • Collaborate closely with NICU charge, CRN and manager to ensure specialty equipment is available at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
