About The Position

UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a for a Materials Handling Aide 2. WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE (40 hours per week) Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Materials Handling Aide II organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls the activities of the Environmental Services, linen, equipment, and supplies. This position will include shifts at the new Northwest Center for Behavioral Health and Learning. Requirements

  • Physical ability to do required work
  • Six months of full-time experience as a Materials Handling Aide I or equivalent education/experience

Responsibilities

  • Rearranges stock to accommodate inventory movement; uses hand dollies and pallet jacks to move stock and equipment.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to the user departments in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Restocks utilizing proper rotation, organization, documentation, and location of stock items.
  • Maintains inventory, ordering records, and cost records.
  • Periodically takes physical inventories and notifies supervisor when to reorder inventory.

  • Makes corrections, deletions, and adjustments to quantities of materials stocked in relation to the par level replenishment systems throughout the facility.
  • Properly handles and stores sterile supplies.
  • Performs any duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
