About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring a Materials Management & Warehousing Manager (K-level) to join the team located in Mesa, AZ. Position Responsibilities: Manage and integrate process and disciplines across more than one area of materials management and warehousing Develops and implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals Develop and execute project and process plans Acquire resource for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Manage, develop and motivate employees and teams Develop and execute integrated organizational strategies and plans Establish performance metrics and monitors critical supply chain service providers with the appropriate detail and frequency to determine trends and financial deterioration well in advance of actual performance impact or default Identify and employ innovative and cost-effective technologies and management processes to achieve better service and business results Influence cost decisions through process-based sourcing and onboarding of best-in-class service providers Model and foster Boeing service culture; demonstrate and promote Boeing Values and Behaviors Conducts oversight and governance activities and initiatives for service providers in the performance of their statement of work; tracks performance metrics, leads business reviews, and facilitates corrective actions as needed This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or materials management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a complex multi-functional environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams and team development
  • Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Experience with 3PL service providers, 3PL warehouse operations, and contract performance management
