About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead all materials functions, including: - Purchasing and supplier performance - Production planning and scheduling - Inventory control and working capital optimization - Warehouse operations and material flow You will serve as a key member of the plant leadership team — aligning materials strategy with production, engineering, and business objectives. What Success Looks Like in Year One Enterprise Impact: - Achieve consistent material availability supporting 95% on-time delivery - Improve inventory turns, schedule attainment, and on-time delivery performance - Reduce past-due orders by 20% Inventory & Working Capital: - Reduce excess and obsolete inventory by 20% - Improve inventory accuracy by 15% Supplier Performance & Cost: - Improve supplier delivery, quality, and lead times - Contribute to cost reduction initiatives Warehouse & Material Flow: - Optimize warehouse layout and flow - Improve safety performance Leadership & Systems: - Build and develop a high-performing materials team - Establish KPI cadence and accountability - Improve ERP/MRP utilization - Lead continuous improvement initiatives What You’ll Do Day-to-Day: - Balance inventory vs. availability using data - Lead planning, purchasing, and inventory strategy - Manage supplier performance and risk - Align cross-functional priorities - Track KPIs for inventory, delivery, and supplier performance - Develop team capability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related
  • 7–10+ years manufacturing/materials leadership experience
  • ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong financial and operational acumen
