Job Summary The Inventory Clerk is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective or reported inventories and to reflect accurate quantities o Count raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods on a daily basis o Research discrepancies between physical and system count o Communicate cycle count findings to those responsible for inventory o Adheres to the cycle counting procedures and guidelines o Maintains count records and data files o Investigates origin of discrepancies o Verifies inbound materials upon receipt Impact of the Role General Profile Requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience Identifies the problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision Performs manual tasks according to established procedures Essential Functions Performs clerical duties associated with materials management. Receives, stocks, and distributes materials, supplies, and equipment. Stores and labels materials in an orderly manner. Drafts reports regarding production progress, inventory levels, and materials costs. Inspects stock items for defects and reports all instances of damage to supervisors. Compares inventory records with physical counts of stock to ensure accuracy, reporting discrepancies when they arise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Clerical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
