About The Position

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and 1 - 2 years of buyer, supply chain, materials, production scheduling, or related business experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • SAP (or equivalent system) knowledge and experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Working knowledge of MRP
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Overall ownership of material ordering and availability, (i.e. New Material, Used Serviceable Material, etc.) and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum
  • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
  • Daily Shortage Management / Purchase order management – data input/updates
  • Conduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelves
  • Assist in cycle count efforts as needed
  • Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions
  • Position may evolve to include other duties as required as the business needs change
