Chromalloy is seeking an experienced MRB Engineer to provide critical engineering judgment in support of aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing. This role is responsible for the technical evaluation and disposition of non‑conforming hardware, ensuring product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine manufacturing, repair, or engineering support.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, materials, and aerospace engineering principles.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hot‑section engine components preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and disposition non‑conforming hardware through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Lead and participate in cross‑functional MRB reviews with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.
  • Assess the impact of deviations on product performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams.
  • Document MRB decisions in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring non‑conformances.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality and operational performance.
  • Maintain compliance with IPM/QPM, ISO‑9000, 5S, safety, and ethical standards.
