How you’ll make an impact in this role Clinical Mentorship & Development: Act as a subject matter expert who coaches and mentors caregivers. You’ll partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and create development plans that ensure staff competencies remain sharp and up-to-date. Quality & Patient Safety Oversight: Lead the charge in improving patient outcomes by analyzing safety data and nursing quality indicators. You won't just look at the numbers; you'll help clinical leaders interpret them to drive real-world improvements. Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Integration: Move research from the page to the patient. This involves guiding EBP projects, updating practice guidelines and order sets, and ensuring the latest clinical research is integrated into daily workflows. Collaborative Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to unit and division leaders. By conducting regular rounds and analyzing research outcomes together, you ensure that clinical practice remains safe, efficient, and evidence-based.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • 2 years applicable experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Labor and Delivery OR NICU nursing experience
  • Prefer DNP with Both Labor and Devlivery with neonatal or nursery experience in hospital setting. Deep understanding of quality, translating research into practice, development of protocols and policies based on evidence, Data interpretation and monitoring.
