About The Position

Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach in our Mathematics program. Join a college that values innovation, collaboration, and student success. Competency to teach lower-division college courses in mathematics, including introductory and college algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics. Salary Range: Current Salary Range is $43,067 to $94,542. Placement within the range depends on an evaluation of education and experience. A faculty member’s work assignment includes a number of diverse professional responsibilities. Classroom teaching and other contacts with students form the core of the faculty work assignment. Additionally, professional development and service to the college are the other core components of a faculty member’s work assignment. A faculty member will plan to engage in such activities as: student advising, course evaluation, classroom preparation, the evaluation of student performance, committee assignments, classroom research and community service as part of overall work assignment. Requirements

  • Master's degree with a major in Math, or Master's degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Math

  • Experience in teaching using a variety of delivery methods. (face-to-face, hybrid, asynchronous online, synchronous online)
  • Experience using a variety of pedagogical methods. (active learning, problem based, corequisite models)
  • Experience working in a math lab and/or math tutoring/technology center
  • Experience with software and internet technologies to enhance methods of delivery in math courses
  • Experience working on department level assessment and curriculum
