At Mathnasium of Yorktown South, we help students in grades K–12 truly understand math — not just memorize it. Using the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary curriculum and teaching approach build number sense, confidence, and long-term mastery. Families come to us because they want their children to feel capable and empowered in math. Our instructors are the reason that transformation happens. Why Join Us This is a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in students’ lives while working in a supportive, team-oriented culture. We offer consistent scheduling, paid training, and opportunities for advancement for those who grow with us. Teaching at Mathnasium is different from teaching in a traditional classroom. Our students are here because their families have made a deliberate investment in their growth. That means you’ll work with a motivated, select clientele in a structured, supportive environment — with significantly fewer behavioral challenges than most school settings. Our instructors are able to focus on instruction rather than classroom management. With small group instruction and individualized learning plans, you can concentrate on helping students build real understanding and confidence in math. What the Role Looks Like As an Instructor, you will work with students in a small group setting while delivering individualized instruction. You will teach using the Mathnasium Method™ and terminology, assess student understanding in real time, and adjust support as needed. There is no lesson planning required — all curriculum and instructional materials are provided. We provide ongoing training so you feel confident and supported in how we teach concepts. You will also collaborate with fellow team members to ensure students stay engaged, challenged, and encouraged. We are currently hiring part-time Instructors to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students, is confident in math through at least Algebra I, and wants consistent, meaningful work in a positive environment. Hours are part-time, typically 6–10 hours per week , scheduled after school and on Saturdays. We have a particularly strong need for candidates who are available on Wednesdays.
