About The Position

Provide professional-level instruction in GED and CASAS reading and math preparation, as well as high school diploma coursework. Facilitate 1:1 and small group sessions to meet individual learning needs. Monitor and support student progress, including math gains and CASAS/GED achievements. Maintain accurate attendance records and complete weekly reports as required. Develop and maintain lesson plans aligned with course objectives and competency-based instruction. Utilize computer-assisted instruction and cooperative learning techniques effectively. Deliver necessary accommodations to students in compliance with program requirements. Evaluate and document student progress, including case notes in CIS where appropriate. Actively participate in departmental and all-staff meetings. Complete required staff training in a timely manner. Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate workplace behavior. Ensure a clean and safe learning environment. Provide excellent customer service to students and assist with retention efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in education or related field or proven experience as an instructor
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in youth development
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective youth-adult partnerships
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in training design and approach
  • Ability to present complex information to a team with varied skill sets
  • Ability to lead and facilitate collaborative relationships with diverse groups
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and analytical skills
  • Strong self-motivation: ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities
  • Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and instruction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Business Suite preferred
