Key Responsibilities: Structure, price, and execute a variety of commodity derivative products (e.g., swaps, collars, etc,..) Focus will initially be on energy (CL and NG) and expand over time Engage clients directly to discuss hedging strategies, and provide concrete recommendations, based on their unique business needs and capital structure In addition to marketing / structuring, execute trades (hedges) in the market as necessary Develop and maintain a significant presence with the TCB Banking team, to identify and capitalize on new leads and deepen existing client relationships Work with various internal teams – bankers, relationship managers, back office operations, and others – to effectively manage the full trade lifecycle, from initial inception, through closing and trade execution, and beyond Assist other internal teams in ensuring trade confirmations, payments, and other materials are executed adequately, to manage client expectations and adhere to regulatory requirements Help construct pitch decks, regular market commentary, and other materials as needed for external clients and internal business partners Help train and develop junior front office staff NOTE: as this is a new desk for Texas Capital, a key component of this role will be building the desk, largely from scratch. This includes working with every team internally (e.g., Credit, Middle Office, Back Office, Finance, Market Risk, Model Risk), drafting materials, etc,.. to help stand up this desk and move quickly to marketing and execution. This will likely continue on for some time, as the desk, its capabilities, and the needs of our clients evolve and grow. A desire to build something great and make a material, tangible, and lasting impact on the firm and our client offering is required.
