About The Position

With a long history of compassionate service to residents of central Maryland, Stella Maris is a recognized leader in skilled nursing care including outpatient rehabilitation and short-term rehabilitation. Our nursing home facility is located on our beautiful campus in Timonium, MD.
The Stella Maris Clinical Reimbursment Department is looking to add a new member to the team. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a wonderful and experienced MDS team to grow, gain experience, and be part of the mission of Stella Maris.
MDS Coordinator (RN)- REMOTE

Requirements

• RN License
• Minimum 5 years of experience with MDS required

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of MDS experience including ICD 10 coding FOR PDPM in a LTC/SAR setting with emphasis on choosing the highest ranking clinical category possible and capturing NTAs for maximum reimbursement.
• Hours will vary according to the number of admissions each day with the candidate being responsible for identifying payer source, opening all Entry MDS and setting ARDs for Admission and 5-day assessments as well as entering and ranking all ICD 10 codes based on the hospital discharge summary and accompanying documents
