About The Position

We are looking for a Meat Cutter Trainee to join our team and begin a hands-on learning experience in the meat department. As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced meat cutters to learn the skills necessary to cut, trim, and prepare various meats, ensuring the highest quality and food safety standards. This role is designed to teach you the ins and outs of meat cutting, from product preparation to customer service, and help you develop the skills needed to grow into a full-fledged meat cutter. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older due to age-related work restrictions
  • Interest in learning and working with food
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of experienced meat cutters
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on maintaining quality standards
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • As a condition of employment, you are required to obtain a valid Food Handler’s Safety Card within thirty (30) days of your start date. You will be responsible for completing any necessary training and certification requirements to obtain this card. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon maintaining this certification in good standing.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity.
  • Consistently perform repetitive tasks
  • Cutting and slicing meat
  • Dexterity and Hand-Eye coordination
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to reach, lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to speak to, hear, and understand others via phone and in person in English
