About The Position

This position handles the final steps in our meat production process: packaging products, assembling orders, and carrying out orders for customers. In this position, you will primarily work in our packaging room, and aalso assist on our production floor as necessary. This position is a good fit for anyone who enjoys keeping busy, working on their feet, and completing a variety of tasks each day. We are looking for team-oriented people who bring a positive attitude to work and want to help make our customers happy by sending them home with quality products. We combine a USDA-inspected sausage kitchen and custom processing facility with a gourmet retail store. Requirements

  • Fluently communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.
  • Safely work with sharp objects such as knives and scissors.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for an 8 hour shift: 2 - fifteen minute rest breaks and 1 - thirty minute meal break are provided during a shift.
  • Operate in a cool packaging environment, as well as operate in coolers kept in the 40º range, to freezers that are kept in the 0º range.
  • This is an entry-level position with no experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Package ready-to-eat meat products by running a thermoform fill-seal package, operating a vacuum sealer, and using other packaging methods.
  • Label products properly using a deli scale and a computer-controlled industrial label printer.
  • Assist in receiving and stocking supplies.
  • Carry out completed customer orders to their cars.
  • Follow USDA food safety guidelines.
  • Complete end-of-day sanitation tasks, including sanitizing the packaging room and hosing down the production floor.
