About the position
United Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, Inc. d/b/a Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited) is one of New York City's largest and most wide spread Community Living Organizations. CP Unlimited is currently seeking a full time Mechanic/Plumber to install new plumbing equipment, braze and solder as needed, perform minor repairs on electrical, carpentry, window repairs, wall and floor tile repairs, executes general preventive maintenance program on equipment, systems, and furnishings in apartments and facilities and Drives agency vehicle to and from assignments to take care of emergencies/routine work and deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Install new plumbing equipment
- Braise and solder as needed
- Perform minor repairs on electrical systems
- Conduct carpentry repairs
- Repair windows
- Repair wall and floor tiles
- Execute general preventive maintenance program on equipment, systems, and furnishings in apartments and facilities
- Drive agency vehicle to and from assignments for emergencies/routine work and deliveries
Requirements
- 2 years’ plumbing experience
- Must go through a criminal background check
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Must be within acceptance of insurance limitations of CP Unlimited vehicles
- Ability to travel to properties in all five boroughs
