About The Position

Mechanical Assembler Full Time Sacramento, CA If you are a forward-thinker interested in troubleshooting, then keep reading! We are searching for one adept Mechanical Assembler to join our Elevator Controls team at Vantage Elevation. Requirements

  • Experience with hand tools such as power screwdrivers, hammer, drills and saws
  • Experience with electronic and pneumatic tooling
  • Forklift and pallet jack certified or the ability to become certified
  • Ability to load, unload and drive company vehicles safely
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Excellent Attendance
  • Familiarity with schematic diagrams is helpful
  • Any electrical experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift and handle objects up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and cycle counting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up new building production floor under the supervision of the Continuous Improvement Leader.
  • Uses proper PPE as required (safety shoes, safety glasses, face mask, hard hat, etc...)
  • Assemble mechanical parts, components, and systems following engineering drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Inspect components and assemblies for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform functional tests to verify proper assembly and operation of assemblies.
  • Provide input to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble and assemble equipment, shelving, material pallets, etc..
  • Uses proper PPE as required (safety shoes, safety glasses, face mask, back support, etc...
  • Use forklift and/or pallet jack as needed
  • Ability to load, unload and drive company vehicles safely
  • Mount panel components on sub-plates
  • Install controller components in steel enclosures using hand tools
  • Other duties as assigned
