In this role, you will support Project Managers and team leads in executing all electrical aspects of data centre commissioning. You will serve as a key point of contact for electrical equipment, infrastructure, and control systems, ensuring high‑quality execution of testing, coordination, reporting, and field activities throughout commissioning phases.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical commissioning experience in a mission-critical or data centre environment
  • Proven experience commissioning HVAC systems, chillers, CRAH units, make-up air handlers, humidifiers, and mechanical control systems
  • Strong understanding of commissioning phases including IVC, PFC, FPT, and IST
  • Working knowledge of mechanical safety practices, including LOTOTO and system isolation procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and control sequences
  • Experience with commissioning documentation and issue tracking systems, with CxAlloy experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Execute mechanical commissioning activities including Installation Verification Checks, Pre-Functional Checks, Functional Performance Testing, and Integrated System Testing
  • Execute approved mechanical commissioning test scripts and procedures
  • Collect, analyze, and document functional and performance test data for mechanical equipment and systems
  • Verify mechanical systems operate in accordance with design intent, specifications, and operational requirements
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure during commissioning activities
  • Document deficiencies, issues, and resolutions using the Automated Commissioning Management System (CxAlloy)
  • Ensure safe execution of all commissioning activities in compliance with site SOPs, RAMS documentation, Permit to Proceed processes, and Lock Out / Tag Out / Try Out (LOTOTO) requirements
  • Coordinate field activities with project teams, contractors, and vendors to support timely execution
  • Participate in daily planning meetings and provide accurate testing status updates to Project Managers and team leads
  • Perform technical reviews of mechanical design documentation
  • Support the development and refinement of mechanical commissioning test scripts and procedures
  • Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, reports, and records
  • Track and report commissioning progress, testing results, and close-out activities
  • Complete required training and support knowledge capture through Engineering Work Instructions and documentation reviews
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to commissioning execution and best practices
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role
