About The Position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer 1 here at Honeywell, you will be involved in the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions that contribute to the aerospace industry. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies, enhancing the safety and efficiency of air travel. This position is part of the Mechanical Systems team, which focuses on gear, bearing, seal, and lubrication system design and analysis for our Engines and Power Systems Division. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule. ENGINEERING ROTATION PROGRAM As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering the development of emerging engineers, we are thrilled to announce that all incoming University Relations hires will automatically be enrolled in a dynamic two-year Engineering Rotation Program, which consists of four rotations, each lasting approximately six months. The first rotation will take place in the employee's home department, providing a solid foundation, followed by rotations in other departments, allowing for a broader skill set and organizational understanding. The goal of the Engineering Rotation Program is to enhance the professional growth of our employees by providing them with diverse experiences and insights across the organization. Participants will not only benefit from gaining a wider perspective on various teams and projects but also have the chance to identify their interests and career goals. This program is designed to encourage collaboration, facilitate networking, and build a strong understanding of Honeywell's operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, which are essential for creating and analyzing mechanical designs.
  • Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to ensure product performance and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as ME (Mechanical Engineering) are preferred.
  • Experience with mechanical components such as bearings, gears, seals, and lubrication systems.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design.

Responsibilities
