Mechanical Drafter - AI Trainer
About The Position
Handshake is looking for skilled LibreCAD and QCAD CE users to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional job. You'll draw on your hands-on experience with 2D technical drafting, industrial schematics, or manufacturing blueprints to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand technical drafting tasks and manufacturing workflows. This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity you can take on alongside anything else you have going on. This is a good fit if you're an experienced LibreCAD or QCAD CE user who has worked in or around roles like: Manufacturing Engineer or Mechanical Drafter CNC Programmer or Industrial Designer Technical Illustrator or CAD Drafter You should have solid experience with one or more of the following: 2D technical drafting, industrial schematics, or manufacturing blueprints using LibreCAD or QCAD CE CNC programming, DXF/DWG workflows, or AutoCAD-compatible drafting Annotating or labeling technical drawings and manufacturing assets Reviewing technical drafts for accuracy, tolerancing, or design consistency You'll use your experience with LibreCAD or QCAD CE to create tool-related questions and review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world technical drafting and manufacturing workflows. No prior AI or technical experience is required.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with LibreCAD or QCAD CE, whether through professional work or freelance projects
- A working knowledge of 2D technical drafting concepts, mechanical schematics, and manufacturing workflows
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and follow written guidelines
