Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer/ Designer is focused on the design of a wide variety of HVAC systems for buildings such as K-12 schools, retail/mixed-use spaces, and commercial spaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 5 + years design of HVAC systems
  • Knowledge in the design of HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude
  • Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM360, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.
  • LEED certification / experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Systems for various types of facilities
  • Produce mechanical design drawings in Revit and AutoCAD software
  • Perform field investigations
  • Coordinate quality control, scheduling, and programming
  • Coordinate and communicate information and progress with all three disciplines (mechanical, electrical and plumbing)
