About The Position

Pilatus is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will provide engineering design and support for modifications to PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft in accordance with work instructions, customer specifications, and company and regulatory requirements. Requirements

  • BS Degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience in aviation required
  • Must be proficient in the use of Solid Edge with Siemens Teamcenter or comparable 2D/3D CAD suite
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and SharePoint
  • High standards of accuracy and quality
  • Self-disciplined, capable of handling multiple, simultaneous projects and tasks
  • Must meet the criteria of a U.S. person as defined under ITAR 22 CFR 120.62

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cadence OrCAD or comparable ECAD suite desirable
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with FAR Part 23 compliance requirements desired

Responsibilities

  • Produces 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, wire harnesses, and cable assemblies including related bill of materials and aircraft installation instructions
  • Works closely with production technicians to ensure drawings and models conform to engineering design, customer specifications, and are in compliance with established company and industry standard practices
  • Originates specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, and other documentation in support of design and development activities
  • Produces discipline-related engineering reports, calculations, and other substantiation documents and oversees outside specialists to obtain compliance verification and approval
  • Develops repair documents and approvals for PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance to obtain aircraft specific documentation approvals as needed
  • Researches, tests, and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems
  • Prepares material for and conducts periodic design reviews
  • Administers and maintains the engineering library and related publications
  • Implements change management policies and procedures through Teamcenter

  • The salary range for this position is $95,800 - 127,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
