As an R&D Engineer III - Mechanical, you will be responsible for taking machine design projects from conception through production release.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
  • 7+ years minimum structural machine design experience.
  • Must be a proactive, creative self-starter, proficient with CAD (Creo preferred), and have experience with mechanism design, structural design and analysis, machined metal parts, material and heat treat.
  • General knowledge of automobiles and their suspension systems is helpful.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer license is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical components and subsystems through the process of investigation, specification development, design, analysis, and testing.
  • Achieve reliable function at low cost through the selection of part configurations, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Conceptualize and design innovative solutions to problems in the auto service industry
  • Ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards
  • Analyze solutions and designs to ensure requirements are met
  • Document technical calculations and testing for agency approval
  • Additional duties as assigned.
