Requirements

  • Travel and/or Relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required. The purpose of travel and/or relocation would be to work with clients on projects. The frequency of travel and/or relocation will be determined by the needs of clients.
  • Apply knowledge of the following: CANape, IBM DOORs, Technical Design Reviews.
  • Position located in Troy, Michigan.
  • Position requires a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and twelve (12) months of experience.
  • One year of experience must have included: CANape, IBM DOORs, Technical Design Reviews.
  • 40hr/wk, $125,362.00/year.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with vehicle and manufacturing teams with respect to discovered engine-related issues.
  • Lead or engage in root cause determination of engine and/or propulsion system issues and support through closure.
  • Lead or engage in engine validation plan execution.
  • Ensure adequate representation at issue resolution meetings, escalate unresolved issues to senior management and lead/challenge the team to deliver a benchmark design.
  • Process and analyze dyno, vehicle and supplier/internal plant manufacturing processing data to establish trends and identify issues.
  • Initiate contact and support meetings with other business units.
  • Present technical findings concisely for all topics with recommended of next steps identified.
  • Support value optimization and quality improvement initiatives.
