Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern. In this role, you will design/analyze hardware, support manufacture, and work to customer requirements. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the application of structural design and analysis and the design/analysis of hardware (CAD - Computer Aided Design) and/or FEM - Finite Element Analysis, Thermal Desktop, or similar). Must be a US Citizen.

Requirements

Bachelors or Master's degree program from an accredited university or college majoring in a STEM degree
Basic knowledge of software utilized in the design/analysis of hardware (CAD - Computer Aided Design) and/or FEM - Finite Element Analysis, Thermal Desktop, or similar)
Classroom or work experience with the application of structural design and analysis
Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

Basic application of mechanical and structural design in real-world/in-class applications.
Basic knowledge of hardware applications in space environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office
